Penny Arcade has spun-off a mini-site dedicated to DND. It looks like Gabe is going to keep all of his DND material here from now on. His "Twilight"-based parody adventure is available for download as well.

I very much commend the "Possible Lines" approach to defining NPC's in an adventure, mostly 'cos I've been doing it for years.

Stick a few quotes from the character, both general and specific to one or more encounters, in your notes, and it's a great way to keep the characterisation sharp during your improv.
