I wanted to defeat the BBEG, and make the galaxy a better place.Next, I discovered game books: Choose Your Own Adventure, Interplanetary Spy, Fighting Fantasy, Lone Wolf. Books that allowed me to control the plot and gave me the chance to be heroic? I was hooked.Then, we got a computer and I discovered games like Wizardry and Ultima. They had sound effects, better visuals than books, and the rudimentary AI added a tactical dimension to combat. I was even more hooked.Finally, in my early teens, a friend introduced me to D&D.
