Sterotypes Im 6'5" and 385lbs, and I fence twice a week for 3-4 hours, im not what people call in shape. But I can out fence most of my counter parts who are 10 years and 200 and more pounds lighter than me, as for my gamer buds well thats pretty diverse. You have Andy who is a health advocate, eats mostly what he calls whole foods. And is closest to what people would call in shape. Then you have Joe who is 6'3 and looks anorexec, yet is also the guy who orders his own X-large pizza and finishes it with no help. You have Greg who is 5'7 and muscular, and entirley coated in hair. I have yet to see him eat, even when we have gamed for a couple days in a row. Then there is Tom who is 6'1 and built, yet I never see him consume anything but beer and chips. And to round things out you have Kevin, who is 5'0" 85 pounds soaking wet and eats once every couple of days. None of these guys has esteem problems that I know of, and all are pale as far as the skin color goes. I would say that the stereotype is pretty much false, in fact if you look at the pictures on this site from the cons and gamedays you will see a pretty diverse crowd out there. Oh and im surprised that part of the stereotype wasn't something to do with hygene, that was something I used to here at my local game store. Some of the players wouldnt attend the weekend instore sessions due to the fact that they thought the room where everyone played smelled like a gym locker.
