Last time I checked, I was a girl...well maybe too old to be considered a girl (late 20's). I'm somewhere in the old member gallery so there's your proof. There's a bunch of other women in there too. We exist. I've been around games a long time. Granted I started realy, REALLY playing because I have a boyfriend who plays, but the only reason I didn't play before was because I had no one to play with...the other groups I knew didn't want me joining them for various reasons. I'm normal looking...I mean, children don't run screaming in horror from me... Well... Unless I want them to... :p No, really, I think most of the guys I play with in my two groups are all pretty normal looking guys, ages ranging from early 20's to grandparents. I know some pretty freaky looking people who aren't gamers. Most of the people I game with have other interests and are not anti-social. I'm anti-social in that I don't really going out to crowded events (ie. clubs, big concerts, etc.). But I have non-gamer friends , non of whom fit any stereotype, and I have a ton of other interests (including such as an avid love of all things Disney, theater, ancient history, political debate and animals). I collect dragons and fairies and other fantasy stuff, but I also collect ancient Egyptian replicas , Disney snowglobes and stuffed animals. I think most gamers don't really fall into one category. I often hear people say that gamers are the anti-jocks...well one of the guys I game with is a sports writer. I also know a guyw ho isn't into RPGS, but very into comic books and PS2 and he is also a hockey player. I guess I can't speak for everyone, but I just try to be me, the way I am, and playing D&D is part of what I do. ~Sheri
