Hey JEL! If you can read this and you're looking for a gaming group, shoot me an e-mail. I can't use the e-mail or private message option on here. :( Anyway, I live in Council Bluffs and our group meets once a week. Send me an e-mail at reveal(at)cox(dot)net if you wanna discuss this further. :D As for Nebraska, I've lived in the Omaha area since 1996. I'm a military brat and was in the Air Force myself (Alaska before here). I've seen a lot of places and Omaha is one of them. ;) It's an ok place to live. People are very friendly when you get out of Omaha but the people in Omaha are rude and angry. Not all are, of course, but I have met more than a few who were. That's a major reason we moved to Council Bluffs (in Iowa right across the Missouri river; could be considered a suburb of Omaha). Yeah, it's a hick town but the people are friendly and there are a LOT more hills, trees, anything "naturey" than Omaha. Omaha is expanding westward at an alarming rate. Everything in its way gets flattened. It's amazing how I can drive for an hour and barely see two trees because of all the "progress." :( Edit: Oh... and let's not forget the Huskers. I've never seen more fanatics in a state than when it comes to the Huskers. It's funny because a group of us at work were discussing how the Huskers would run up the score on a team and, even if they were winning by more than 20 points, fans would be upset if they didn't score more. At that point, a rabid Husker fan entered the room and we asked her if she would be upset if the Huskers were up by 20 and took out the first string to put in other players. She said she would because "we need to score more points." That seems to be the mindset. It's not ok to lose, it's ok to win but it's fantastic to humiliate your opponent and drive their face into the dirt.
