This is one of the dinosaurs I did that did not make it into Gaming Frontiers Magazine (I didn't have it finished in time). It has not been edited so there may be some minor problems. I thought about raising its hit dice. If you like this dinosaur check out Gaming Frontiers volume 1 and 4. THERIZINOSAURID Large Beast Hit Dice: 5d10+10 (35 hp) Initiative: +3 (Dex) Speed: 40 ft AC: 15 (-1 size, +3 Dex +3 natural) Attacks: Claws +4 melee Damage: Claws 1d8+3 Face/Reach: 5 ft. by 5 ft. / 10 ft. Saves: Fort. +7, Ref. +7, Will. +2 Abilities: Str. 14, Dex. 15, Con. 15, Int. 2, Wis. 13, Cha. 12 Skills: Spot +4, listen +3 Climate/Terrain: Warm forest, hills or plains Organization: group (2-4) or herd (10-30) Challenge Rating: 3 Treasure: None Alignment: Always Neutral Advancement: Large (6-12 HD) Theriznosaurids are an odd breed of plant eating dinosaur of which only two different species exists. Both species have long necks with small heads. They walk on two legs, and have short tails to balance their bodies as they walk. The most distinguishing characteristic possessed by this type of dinosaur is the two long arms that have three fingers each tipped with a long sickle like claw. The two different species of therizinosaurid that can be encountered are Alxasaurus and Therizinosaurus. Both species reach an average height of 13’ however the therizinosaurus has been known to reach heights of 16’ and its claws are three times as large as the Alxasaurus. Combat Theriznosaurids are non aggressive by nature but will attack if cornered or defending young. The only method of attack used by the dinosaur is to slash at its opponents with its large sickle shaped claw.
