Gaming Frontiers Magazine?

Does anyone know what happened to Gaming Frontiers Magazine? I stumbled across a review of it, and it had nothing but good things to say; the same goes for the two other blurbs I read about it. It looks like their website is down, however, and I can't find any reference to any recent issues... Any idea what happened to it?

All I know is that I bought the four existing volumes from Mystic Eye Games at Gencon.

They aren't bad, but because the material is most excerpts from other products it's hard to say how useful it is. I bought the four issues (which list price at $19.99) for 20 bucks total from MEG.

I know that Rob was have some difficulties financially with keeping the magazine going and after his baby came he started having trouble with time as well.

The fifth issue is coming out shortly. At least that's what GamingFrontiersRob told me; I pre-ordered it at GenCon. You get a free .pdf with a pre-order, details here.

Their website also appears to be up and running now.

I'm looking forward to the new issue because it concludes an article on orcs that Ed started in GF 4. He was going to publish it through his own Skeleton Key imprint but went with GF which is great because it means it comes out now.

It is GOOD stuff too - I managed to get a claw....er...hand in on that gig as well - writing the "last" installment, among other things for the mag. :) Rob had a demo copy at Gen Con and it looked SWEET! :D

Gaming Frontiers EXISTS!

Yes, Gaming Frontiers exists. And we've somehow managed to produce 5 volumes.

Kryndal Levik: The website is fully functional, you must have an old page bookmarked. You can check out and buy all five volumes from our website. Both addresses www.gamingfrontiers.com or www.unitedplaytest.com. should get you there.

Creamsteak: Actually you bought them from me. That little corner of the MEG booth was my space. Glad you liked them.

Drawmack: Time is still an issue. I now have four kids. I do the best I can.

Barendd Nobeard: We have 2 little fixes we're making to the PDF before I send out any more download links. Volume 5 is at the printer. The printer had an equipment failure that made a number of gaming products late and miss Gen Con. But it's back in production and should be here in 2 weeks or so.

JoeGKushner, d20Dwarf, Ashy: The Orcs book is way cool. Until now I felt Volume 3 was our best content-wise. But Volume 5 beats it hands down.

Thanks everyone for the support and kind words.

United Playtest, Inc.

Yay! My first gaming contract is finally seeing the light of day! :)

Wow, same here Wil! I think it will be interesting for people to see just what names contributed to Ed's orc project.
