Back with 1E Shadowrun and some 1E-2E D&D. We sort of played together on and off for about 6 years, I shanghai'd in a few others along the way, like 3 girls and 3 guys I knew from high school and ended up in the same town at uni. Then there was my best friend at uni who had a boyfriend and I used to steal him off her on the weekends along with another 2 guys I shared a house with, that bloke ran some of the best Shadowrun games ever, an utter genius.That went on for about 4-5 years and finding or running a game was easier than falling down drunk <img src="https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/joypixels/assets/8.0/png/unicode/64/1f642.png" class="smilie smilie--emoji" loading="lazy" width="64" height="64" alt=":)" title="Smile    :)"  data-smilie="1"data-shortname=":)" />Then most of us parted ways after uni finished and I found a Darksun campain pickup game at a FLGS, in between wargaming and painting mini's, of which painting mini's for other people seemed to contribute about 40% of my earnings back in the day. That lasted a year or so and I cant really say I found it easy to like all of them but my unemployed self needed something to fill in time.After the Darksun game finished up I found another guy in a hobby store who played Warhammer with gameradar and turned up there at his joint with a few boxes of my own armies and found out they played D&D and a whole heap of other RPG's I'd never heard of.So in between getting my arse kicked by the guy I met in the game store (he cheated and while I had prettier mini's I wasnt much of a tactitian either!) and lo and behold some of the old Darksun people where there, who also cheated in Warhammer a lot but a game was a game... we started playing RPG's again. All sorts of them and the warhammer cheats evn managed to cheat in RPG's but they where easier to squish at least. <img src="https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/joypixels/assets/8.0/png/unicode/64/1f609.png" class="smilie smilie--emoji" loading="lazy" width="64" height="64" alt=";)" title="Wink    ;)"  data-smilie="2"data-shortname=";)" />Out of that core group 10-12 years later, theres 4 of us who, older, crustier and crankier still play as regually as we can, I'd consider them best of friends.
