My story revolves around the PC's just not thinking things through. They slowly made their way to a castle in the middle of a forest of crystals. these cyrstals would explode if to much noise was made near them, and they also blocked teleportation. So as you can imagine this place had few visitors. Once inside and after fighting their way through a number of villians and narrowly avoiding death several times they come across an old man weaving cloth on a loom. He offers to sell them magical clothes he'd made at a discounted price as long as they would show him the way out. He told them he was desperate to get out and away from the villians within the castle, and would remain outside waiting for them to return and take him safley through the crystals. The PC's jumped at the chance and paid handsomely for some choice items. The only one that didn't purchase anything was my wife, and she was miffed that she didn't get anything. So the party continues on and runs into several gaurds on the next level and begining a heated battle. Things began to escalate fast when the villians manage to get initiative and sound the alarm on thier first turn. they can already hear more gaurds jumping up and grabbing weapons in the surrounding rooms. Next up are our hero's eager to try out thier newly enhanced PC's. That's when the cursed items all triggered. The mage starts screaming as huge rats start swarming out of his new robe biting and tearing. The big NPC female fighter starts to skip and prance around the battle field, dancing up a storm. The male tank suddenly finds that he has undergone a change of religion and is now quite female in the middel of his dual with the gaurd captain. Their looks were classic. And my very miffed wife was not nearly as miffed as she had been. Good times. -Ashrum
