Gaming Time confilicts, Need Help

Well, School here is begining next week, along with all of the school sports...

I have several (2) players that are no longer going to be able to attend sessions if I dont change the day, but the only day that is better would involve changing location, which would cause one of the players(a different one) to not be able to attened, and i would miss every third session (I'm the DM if you hadn't figured it out yet)

Is it better to have more people to be able to come but hold it less frequently, or should I keep it where it is??

Any help is welcomed...i cant decide...

Sorry to post twice in a row, but i havet been here in a while...did they reset the post counter? I was pretty sure mine was in the hundreds... not really important, just wondering...

Obviously if you're DMing, it's up to you. If you prefer more people, than make sure you arrange that schedule. If you don't mind fewer people, then take the more frequent schedule.

Just for your thoughts. I DM a game that meets every 2-4 weeks. This is mostly because of schedules and the fact that I can't justify taking that much time away from my own family weekly. It seems to work well, but I know I've got a good group of players. One of the most important aspects of this group, however, is that it's ok to miss a session if you have to. In fact there's one player who can't make it very often, but I will always leave a seat open for him because he's a good player and fun to have at the table.

So, you just need to be sure that as a DM you can deal with getting people into and out of sessions. I find ways to do it and of course I'm grateful to the players who are willing to allow for a more flexible game group.

Just my thoughts. Good luck.

Another idea, if you have the time and inclination, would be to take those two players on their own and have their PCs run off on some other adventure. After their sports season is over with, then just bring them all together again. Of course, if they play basketball or wrestle into the winter and hten into the spring, that might prove a bit more problematic.

Also, to help with the time, do what arche suggested and stagger the games. Have the group go one week, then the duo the next, then the group the next week again. It would help you keep up better. That or just have a few more random sessions with the duo.
