Elle has spent the vast majority of her life as a slave. Her parents were slain when she was a year old, and she was taken and sold off. Raptorans were rare in the region so she was a very valuable show piece. She bounced around owners for the first ten years of her life until she ended up being the property of the Pristmatic Dragon Yakuza clan. When she was 14, she saved the yakuza boss' life life by ambushing an assassin and by a stroke of luck killing him before he realized what hit him. It was at this point that she gained a new role in life.
She was trained to be a hidden bodyguard, and served to protect the leaders of her clan. She was trained to be quick with a blade, defensive and untouchable, so she could shield her wards while aid could come. After turning 16, she was sent to fight in a large war that washed over their nation. The Yakuza determined that the confict was bad for business since the good and righteous side was winning, and tossed their hat in with the corrupt rebels that wished to wrest control for their own personal gain. It was during this war that Elle was trained in a much more powerful, if dangerous, method of fighting. Pure offense with no regard for ones personal safety could allow a weaker fighter to get the drop on much stronger foes, and Elle finally crossed over from the boundary of bodyguard to a tried and true killer.
Upon returning from the war victorious, she was given a new job as assassin for the Yakuza, and proceeded to gain a name for herself in the underworld as "Diablo", a ferocous demon that would stop at nothing to accomplish its mission. Over the years, she managed to merge her two fighting styles into one smooth mixture of ultimate defense and ultimate offense, allowing her to remain one step ahead of her foes in a dance of death that became legend.
When the Gods began to war with each other, the Yakuza tried keeping their heads low, not wanting to get involved. But soon Hextor brought an army into their country, preparing for battle against his brother Heironeous. After many months of fighting, it was Heironeous who won out in the end. Hextor pulled out of the area, his army shashed and in shambles. In the aftermath, Heironeous claimed all the lands for the dieties of good, and the yakuza was forced to defend itself. Lumped in as simply more servants of Hextor, Heironeous ordered the Primatic Dragon Yakuza Clan annihilated, with Elle being the only survivor. Just before the last stand, her boss had ordered her to leave and granted her freedom. Standing within the aftermath of that battle, she swore revenge against Heironeous. He had left the land to his retainers and ventured off elsewhere to pursue his crusade. And Elle was determined to track him down and see her vendatta fulfilled.
