Gaming Withdrawal

I probably should have mentioned that I find PbP too slow. And the reason I asked about EN World Chat was that in the past I did survive playing online.

DDO is completely out of the question. Not only did I mention in the OP that I had quit playing video games, but DDO is the very video game I was playing when I finally came to the realization that I had to quit. That was, in a rather real sense, the game that caused me to quit.

Kaodi, what about games on google talks or similar platforms. I am sure people are using it (both for live chats with voice and/or video and IM's). I haven't been able to play as much as I like lately, so I understand where you are coming from. Maybe we could find out what platform you are looking for, what system and game and see if we could get some folk here on board for something.

I suppose I should try and look for (real time) stuff online. I think when I wrote the OP I was hoping for suggestions for self-medication though; not that that is a hard requirement or anything.

I will post in Gamers Seeking Gamers.

How about finding a class or something at a local college that'll interest you. It will keep your mind off gaming and you'll be busy on homework, which if the class is right, may allow you to explore real world inspirations for gaming background stories.

This may also complete the withdrawl process and you wont mind so much anymore. Worked for me!
