Gamma World: Beyond the Horizon

Dark Psion

First Post
This book has peaked my interest. The previous Gamma World games never got out North America (a couple never made it out of Wisconsin). If this book explores the rest of Gamma Terra I might have to get it.

Anyone seen it yet?

That does sound interesting - esp. if it works with the d20 Apoc stuff coming out next year (which it should, being d20 and all).

Have it, read most of it.

2/3rds of it are fluff describing various places- chapter one is the contintents by way of journals (of which one is missing from the ToC) and chapter two is specific places.

The remaining 3rd has new mutations that help with travel, rules on long distance travel and interaction with new cultures, adapting to new climates over time (very cool), 2 classes (explorer and expeditionary) and GMG style "why travel?".

I find it more interesting than CA&UE and OtV.

Isn't it spelled "knit"? (and said with an outrageous French accent?)
I apologize--I was in a "mood" that day.

Oh, wait--I'm always in a "mood".

(Are you saying I'm French? Mon Dieu! Is it the red & white striped shirt that gives it away? <glances at avatar>)

What new races are in this book? That's honestly the only reason I'd pick it up. I simply don't use all that much from the GW D20 line.

Races? Huh? This is a book on travelling long distances and what the Earth looks like after the Cataclysm. There are new mutations (3-4 pages worth), but no new genotypes.

Huh...I could have sworn that one of the press releases stated that there would be new races in it. Oh well. Carry on, nothing to see here!!!
