GaryCon II in Lake Geneva

Had a great time at GaryCon II in Lake Geneva. Basically nonstop gaming, (O)D&D, Basic D&D, Chainmail (1973 rules), Kingmaker (AH 1974), Medieval Fantasy Combat Miniatures Game (my own rules), Puerto Rico boardgame, Wooden Ships & Iron Men (boardgame, Trafalgar plus the full American Revolution campaign [to a draw]), and more. So, to Jim, diaglo, Francisca, Jarren, Tavis, Sleepy Voiced Carl, Joseph Goodman, Doug, grodog, The Friends of and Family Gygax, all of the game facilitators and players, especially my own players, the wonderful people at the Lodge in Lake Geneva, and everyone who attended and helped make GaryCon II a great success, Thank you very much! :)

Can't wait until next year. Here's some pictures -

Looks like awesome fun.

Over at dragonsfoot there is a link to the facebook album for GaryCon II.

Wish I could have been there. Gary's reserved table was inspirational and heart breaking.

It was great to meet you, Mark, and I'm glad you enjoyed playing our Castle Greyhawk session :D

You, too. Great fun. Our last ditch effort to escape was less than successful but would not have been tried but for the artificial deadline imposed by meta-circumstance. Except for the difficulties of handling ghosts, I feel we were doing fairly well and would have eventually made our way out if under campaign limits rather than tourney one-shot restrictions. I think we had the right sensibilities around that table to form a strong, cohesive team/group. I look forward to the next time I can play a game run by you! :)

Thanks for posting this Mark. At the 5:00 mark on the Friday clip, you can see and hear folks' reaction to my comment about "..._this_ beholder..." during our Castle Greyhawk session :D
