I just noticed that gaseous form does not actually make you incorporeal. It's weird how assumptions work like that. 1) What if you drop someone who is gaseous? Does that dispel gf? 2) What if you kill someone who is gaseous? Does that displel gf? Mostly this is for my wizard who is starting to get more use out of his gf spell, but... Extra credit: 3) What if you "kill" a gaseous ogre mage (or anyone else with regeneration)? I mean: you can't. Do you have to wait eighteen minutes for the spell to disappear, all the while hacking on him to keep him from regaining consciousness? Is he just as vulnerable to fire while gaseous, and therefore able to be killed while gaseous? I imagine there's really no way to do acid damage to him, except maybe for acid fog. When I was DM for a party that was hacking on an ogre mage, he turned gaseous and started to float away. The wizard let loose with some magic missiles and "dropped" him, but I didn't really know how to handle the situation. It was the end of the adventure and he was BBEG's lieutenant. BBEG was dead. I figured, "whatever, full XP" and declared everything over. But I still wonder how I should have handled that.
