Gem dragons?

Okay, I could have sworn these guys were updated to 3.5/the XPH. But the only place I'm finding them is MMII, and that's way before the revision. Am I just smoking something I shouldn't?

(The irony here is, I don't even much care for the gem dragons. I just need to look them over for an idea I'm working on.)

The only revised info on the Gem Dragons that I know of is in that little 3.5 update document. I'd hoped there would be something in Draconomicon on them, but there was nothing...

As far as I know, they have been published only in the MM2 and, before, in the Psi handbook web enhancement. That's why I hoped they would be updated in the EPH web enhancement, but they didn't.

stretch back a little... gem dragons existed in Dragon Magazine back in the 1edADnD days too.

I believe he was talking about for the new edition of the game.

Heck, I remember that Ruby Dragon... what was his name? Salidor or something?

I wish that there was an article that updated all the dragon rulers... I remember the one gray dragon and steel dragon that fougth each other.

The ferrous dragons were nice too..

Argh... further derailing of the thread...

Gez is correct that the gem dragons haven't received a 3.5 print update. Howver, if you use E-Tools or PCGen, then the 3.5 dataset for the MMII incorporates the updates from the conversion manual, and will give you pretty solid 3.5 gem dragons.

JGK, I think you're thinking of Rahab (Grey) and Ahi (Steel) from Dragon #62. And if you're still looking for them, you can find the (3.0) stats for Sardior, Master of the Gem Dragons here: http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/psm/20030124a

Actually, it was both.

The first reference was to the Ruby Dragon. Thanks for the link!

The second was to the two dagons who fought one another. Great stuff there and I wish we had more 'unique' dragons like them and bahamut/tiamat before they became gods.

The third is indeed the ferrous dragons but I swore that they too had a 'bahamut' style leader.
