Gems Resource needed

hey all, to make my games better I wanted to learn more about gems so that I could decribe them better...and use them more fully.

Is there a list of gems, what they look like and such.

For example, in the DMG they have all the lists, and some are obvious, diamonds, pearls, etc...some are not chrysoprace for example. Its kind of hard to give a gem name and then NOT being able to explain what it looks like.

Plus, you can describe gems and NOT give them the name and let them guess, assume or roll to determine the gem's type.

It's not an online resource but I bought this book and I really like it -- very colorful, shows many pictures, examples of cut and uncut gems, gems used in jewelry, etc.
