Gen Con Hotels

My wife and I are going to try to go to GenCon Indy for the first time, this year. Does anybody have any advice on where the "best" places to stay in Indy are for the Con?

Room quality is (of course) an issue, but I also want to stay in a place where we can congregate with fellow gamers (and enworlders) while we're there.

I know that lots of people on the boards have been there before, so please, tell me what you think!

There are already several GenCon threads in General, and at least one of them is about hotels. You might check there for advice.

Personally, I like the Embassy Suites. Across the street from the convention center, attached to a mall, free breakfast and happy hour, and withing walking distance from museums, an IMAX and a park.
