[Gen Con] publishers (esp. small press) tell me what's new

Doing the best imitation of myself
So Gen Con is just around the corner, and I won't be there for the first time since 1979. Yes I feel old.

The real problem is that I'm going to miss out on all of the wonderful products that are released at the con, especially from small-press outfits.

Each year I make a point of talking to the small press companies and seeing what new products they have. Many times, these are companies who make one showing EVER at the con. I always buy something from them, and many times these are some of the best buys I make.

This has given me some great memories. Two years ago, I bought Jeff Dee's new (at the time) RPG, and got him to sign it. I pointed out that the last time I talked to him I was nine years old and he was signing my first edition copy of V&V. I think that made BOTH of us feel old.

This year I won't be there, so I'm asking for those of you who are going to be at Gen Con to talk about your new releases. If you're a company who does not get regular distribution, let me know so my store can either special order it, or I can get the stuff directly from you!

A note to those of you going to the con: make sure to stop by at some of the smaller booths. You might find some great products, and you'll always come away with some great stories.

Thanks for your help,

I love stuff from small press companies! I also look for good out of print stuff from the 70's or early 80's. You may see me at the auction at any given time.

If you're looking for a good "adventure setting" with a whole lot of extras, check out my company's debut product "World of Whitethorn 1A: The Hamlet of Thumble":

I've just announced a contest for it here:
