The FDP had a great time this year, as always. This despite the lack of our fearless leader, Jason, who is so dedicated he flew down from Toronto to partake in a 24-hour blitz of the show. Needless to say, we didn't sleep that night. Thanks to Truthseeker and crew for rolling Klaus back to the room after *nothing happened*. He was obviously overcome with fatigue. And I have pictures to prove it. GenCon wouldn't be the same without the annual "Teflon Billy Got Hassled at the Border" story. This year's story is my favourite, followed closely by the time you rushed to the airport only to find out you were a day early. Always good to see Piratecat and remember the good times I had living in his basement all those years ago. Always fun to see the ENWorlders at GenCon. We didn't get out of the booth much this year (due to the aforementioned manpower shortage), but we got to spend crazy time with my favourite publishers - XRP. Some great things, business-wise, came to us this year. Starting in 2007, all of our products will be named "MONTE COOK PRESENTS..." plus the title. He's not involved, but we've found this helps our sales. It'll be easy to get his permission once we move into his garage. Also, hanging out with the Dead Gentlemen crew was a blast. Christian and Scott in particular are crazy with the party. Our White Wolf friends once again confirmed we own the ORIGINAL World of Darkness but cannot use any of their trademarks (including World of Darkness). So we own the awesome setting, though none of the games set their. Yet... believe me, they're afraid of our rumble man, Todd, and will cave soon. Confirmed Monte is working on Fifth Edition. Those clever folks! Had after-ENnie drinks with Nicole, Chris and the GR team. Nicole had the Mac n' Cheese soup while we talked about proper kitchen technique. Great time, all told. - James
