GenCon 2009 -- Event submissions?

Jeff Wilder

First Post
Given that GenCon is already accepting event submissions for Indy, any chance we could get a sub-forum for it?

Here's mine:

Game ID RPG0901880 through RPG0901883
Title An Old School Adventure
Description No tricks, no gimmicks. Just simple old school D&D. A caravan guard gig leads to a break-neck, non-stop adventure! 7th level, pregenerated characters, each with simple (but strong) roleplaying hooks with other PCs.
Event Type RPG - Role Playing Game
Game System D&D
Rules Edition 3.5
Min Players 4
Max Players 6
Age Requirement Teen (13+)
Experience Required Some (you’ve played once or twice)
Preferred Time 08/13/2009 06:00 PM, 8/16/2009 10:00 AM, 8/14/2009 06:00 PM, 8/15/2009 06:00 PM. I'll be running the first two, and my buddy will be running the last two.
Event Duration 5.5 hours
GM Names Jeff Wilder, Mark Salzer
Message to Registered Players Characters will be provided. All you need are dice, pencils, papers, and the desire to play!

Subforum issue aside, I will definitely be looking for this when I buy my event tickets. This sounds to me like EXACTLY the kind of RPG event I want to play.

3.5e is old school now? ;)

Otherwise, sounds like fun! Assuming I can make it to GenCon at all (i.e. if I can get the time off), I'll try to sign up for this.

I may just run mine off the grid and tailor them more to the people I wrangle into playing beforehand. Any suggestions on games or times? Jeff, you and the boys in for a Saturday evening game? (Friday evening is for ENnies, natch.) MonkeyDragon? Nerfwright? Seonaid? NGRI? Buehler? Anyone? :D

Dude, that sounds so San Francisco.

I'd be up for Saturday night. (The other) Mark will be running the event -- see above -- on Friday and Saturday nights. We haven't been able to get in touch with James (he lives in Kentucky), even though he said he wanted to share a room, so I can't speak for him.

:D Pretty sure we're in Indy, again. :D

I'll set up a few of the games via the Gencon forum here and on CM but I will be sure your spot is covered. Maybe I'll have another game at a time when the Salz isn't already booked.
