GenCon Plans?

Just curious to see what ya'll GenCon Plans are. Wasn't sure with all the playtesting if ya'll were committed to running any games or such?

I'm hoping to make it up there for all four days this time around and looking to bring one of my local gamers with me.

Does anyone plan on signing up for any specific games that I can try to slip in on?

I'm hoping we'll have some kind of get together. This is the first time I'll have been able to go to GenCon since they released 3e.

I will be there Fri-Sun but plan on playing Board Games primarily. It would be great to plan a time to meet everyone from out of town sometime though. I'm sure some time in the vendor hall will be arranged

Haven't there been semi-official ENworld get-togethers the past few years? Anybody remember who put those together or what went on?

Past Get Togethers

Last year was the first year for most of us going to GenCon. We met while waiting in line, and waiting, and waiting.... I think we'll get our badges early this year and avoid the long lines if possible.

As far as official get togethers, nothing specific yet. Some people met up at different times, but nothing too organized for our group. I'd love to meet up and play with some of ya'll, hence why I was checking the groups pulse on the idea. I wasn't sure if anyone had specific commitments with playtesting of various games some of us have done this year, like running a Conan table. It appears that is not the case at the moment which leaves us open to the suggested impromtu games.

I've not had the opportunity to look at any of the Conan rules yet and have been out of touch with Inzeladun for a while since I've moved away. It doesn't help that I've been unable to play online Sundays. So I need to catch up and see how much things have changed since Manderkarr's days as much has grown in his absence it appears.

I will be there Wednesday to Sunday. Wednesday is early pick up and checking out the sites, may see what is playing at the IMAX that night. Friday night is the ENnies at 9, it is the closes thing to an ENWorld meet up.

We should all get together on Saturday. Or maybe all meet Friday night, goto the ENnies (watch Vince get some awards  ) and then hang out for awhile afterwards.

Any chance you'll get to play in the online games on Sundays? That would be really cool!

Working on plans now the events are listed...

Saturday would be good if best for those who cannot attend during the weekdays, and this will be a first for me to go to the Ennies. I'm working on which events I'm interested in since the list is out now. Some rpging, some not, but I'm open to suggestions if ya'll want to join in some mayhem together. I'm looking to spend a session or so rpging with some other friends from college for one gaming session at some point.

I figured a full days time (broken up) checking out the wares in the main room. A full day of rpging and a full day of card games (spades, yugioh, etc). I'd love a session with gaming with ya'll some evening in Inzeladun and learn about the Conan rules.

Unfortunately, Sundays is usually when I game in person at my house with my local group.

Yeah, a Saturday night gaming session would be grand! We'll plan it out closer to time.

I don't have much planned except playing in the Settlers of Cataan World Championships Friday night/Saturday morning. Depending on how I do, it could shoot down my whole Saturday. :)

Otherwise, I wanna see the show floor on Saturday and play some board games.

Definitely going to the ENnies on Friday night.

Well you should cut your live games to every other week and then you can game online with use every other week. :p
