[QUOTE="GlassEye, post: 5880827, member: 40413"] I love my rogue. I find the character a blast to play though that may be more the result of the great characters he's adventured with and the excellent DMs that have run the adventures he's been in. He has his down sides: his hp disappear astonishingly fast, he's ended up prone at least once in nearly every adventure he's been in, difficult terrain can shut him down, and I don't feel that I can afford to take the hit to his attack modifiers caused by Two-Weapon Fighting (though that may be the result of the two levels of bard that I took to give him a little more flexibility/specialization). A consistent flanking buddy, one that would take Teamwork feats, would help his combat capability considerably but that's not really a sure thing in a living world like this one. He's pretty much a skillmonkey/face with a dollop of fair to decent combat skills as a back-up. It works well in urban areas and in places where his movement isn't hindered, not so well in dungeons and cramped quarters. He's adventured a lot with a particular fighter and bard and both of those classes can do what my rogue does but better except for maneuverability and stealth and dealing with traps. I do worry that as he advances in level his maneuverability will be severely impacted as the DCs for Acrobatics advance past his ability to keep up his skill bonus. I guess I'll find out eventually.
