Minecraft multiplayer It's my favourite part of EnWorld and possibly the reason why I pop in at all. I browse General in search of threads that would generally fit better in P&P. It's a conundrum: not many people look in there, so when someone is in tight spot in his campaign and is looking for help - he'll mostly post in general as well - thus giving P&P even less traffic, and robbing it of intended content - and traffic. So next time someone pops in and is in tight spot... Note that same is true for Meta, Art and cartography, software, and system-specific subforums. It has a nasty backslash though. OP who wants to gain more traffic will actually get less, and from people not always interested in it. And if he doesn't get a few bumps daily, his thread will be off first page in no time - and will get far less traffic than it can, and often deserves (ie - missed in the first "go" awesome thread on ageing paper for maps). In Plots and places it'd easily hand on first page for a week. It would look different if threads were made in appropriate forums, I'm sure - I see at least as many plot/adventure threads in general as I do in P&P. Alas, since they're not - it's a mute point Arguably, this thread would fit better in Meta as well. @Scurvy Platypus - I don't like reading too much about someone's narcissistic ranting either, but that's not what I'm looking for (and unless I'm really good at subconscious discrimination of unrelevant data, that's not what most threads in P&P are about) there. I'm looking for ideas to crunch as a DM. Some I might use in my campaigns, sometimes I just... like to work on something like that. It's what attracts me to DM'ing in the first place. For example: recent triathlon thread. 4e is a system that I intend to eventually put some time into. I'm so used to 3.X, that It's not even a case of "right tool", screwdriver v hammer. It's like seeing some tools for the first time. "What's this scree-W-dri-ver you speak of for? Do I chop meat with it, or...?". That thread gave me an incentive (helping someone out) to try and focus on given problem and see if I can use the system to do the intended task.
