Geography and basic photoshop skills requiered for a small project

Hi, I have started to work on my world again; Melsurique. And I have no skill at designing a world map... I mean the shape of the world island, continent. I always make it to big or to small.

If interested to help here is what I come up with so far:

22"x34" 300res RGB (is the format I use to create the map)

1/32 inch is 24miles
1 inch is 768 miles
22 inches is 16896 miles
34 inches is 26112 miles

(True it will look a football ball ... hum American football.)

Else than that I let you completly free to create the world. I just need one of the continent to look like africa but doesn't end sharp.

I use photoshop v6.01 and need the world shape on a transparent layer if possible. will need the psd file.

hey, ill see what i can do, not sure if ill have much extra time though...and btw., do you want any specific # of continents or any thing else like that?

No I just want the basic shape I own photoshop and plan to design the topography, the forest the rivers and all I just need the general shape fo teh world (make black spot on the transparent layer and if it look like a working world than fine

I mean no you are free as long as the general shape of one of teh continent look like the one I described... I could send a pics of it if you want. I did it by hand and would like to include it.

But else you are totally free. I have no skill at shaping but I have some at designing where the mountain river and all will be... (I don't want to ask someone to do a full fledged map cause I know the time it takes and all. Thats why I ask for the shape.)

Why not just copy that image into a layer in photoshop and they trace it?

Or if you have a better copy of the entire world scan it, and clean it up as needed. Thats what I did with my friends world.

Because that's the only thing that is drawn... so instead of drawing all the remaining stuff I want to go to photoshop right now... The only problem I'm not in geography in both way so even if I draw it it will... well suck. I know where to put mountain, forest and river shaping fo teh world is my main concern...
