What "issues" would those be? Martin was,(and has been in the past), extremely forthcomming and friendly concerning answering questions about his stories.

I really have to agree. He doesn't want to spoil the next story, but he said that straight up when it was an issue.

C'mon, what'd you expect him to do when asked a direct question about what's going to happen next? You make this sound like a bad thing; I think it was well-handled.

I'm not complaining about Martin at all. I think he's great and I love his books.

Some people feel that some of the impressions given to readers in the first three books may not be entirely correct. If this is true, then Martin can't come out and say "The Kingsguard were ordered to the Tower of Joy because..." or "Ghost is "one of [the wolves] but not one of them" because..." or even "I made Jon a bastard because...". So he equivocates and chooses his words carefully. I'm not complaining, it's just fun to see him do it.
