Can't wait! Although I must admit that I never watched the series itself, only the feature-length movie that was released in the late 70s or early 80s. Anyway, it was a hodgepodge of the frist couple of episodes along with the final few.

Thunderbirds are go!

Specturm is Green!

Oh, and I love the funky Captian Scarlet music, heh.

That does look cool. Good to see he's involved. I would have sworn he was dead. :/

Heh, I went through that with two of the actors in Lord of the Rings... Isn't he... dead? But yeah, Gerry Anderson has been in the industry since the 1940s... My first thought was 'hey! Somebody is ripping off Gerry Anderson's Captain Scarlet! and I was actually a bit annoyed. Then I saw who was making it... :D 'Hey! it's not a rip off! It is Gerry Anderson's Captain Scarlet!'

I never even knew about the movie, but I sure remember the original series. If I recall properly the most recent of Gerry Anderson's shows to air in the US was Space Precinct, a fun show that hit the air waves at 3:00 AM, but would have been just fine at 9:00 AM Saturday morning.

My favorite only lasted one season though... UFO. (Pronounced in the show as you foe.)

The Auld Grump, who has been amazed at how many people remember the show...

It's well remembered, along with many of his shows. Captain Scarlet was always my favorite. A show where the main character routinely gets killed? Awesome.

Here's some trivia for you: the lead character in UFO was also the voice of Captain Blue in Captain Scarlet (that'd be Ed Bishop, if you're wondering). Pretty cool, eh?

This looks sweet...and it'll be in high-def and dolby 5.1, to boot. Some interesting changes, to make the show more in line with more recent sensibilities....namely that Destiny Angel has a more prominent role, from the screen shots. Not sure why Lieutenant Green was changed from an Indian male to an african-american female, but I don't see anything wrong with it.

Between this and the new Dr. Who, I'm majorly geeking out, here. :)
