So, as the title suggests, I'm trying to build a gestalt character for a game taking place soon, and I'd like to focus on one (or two) of the three ToB classes. My first thought was to do a Warblade/UASwordsage character build, which looks good on paper (good BAB, all three excellent saves, all the maneuvers I can dream of with two pools and access to 8 of the 9 schools). However, the problem I'm running into is that this class is extremely MAD (might be worse than the Monk.) Ability scores will either be the standard high-powered roll of 4d6 drop lowest and reroll all 1s, or 32 point buy, depending on the DM running it. The rules for the build are as follows: No multi-classing unless the new class we are trying to gain is a PrC, and we can only prestige once, non-negotiable. Other than that, the sky is the limit. I've thought about running a Cleric/Crusader Gestalt, then advancing as a Ruby Knight V(W)indicator, but I'm already playing an RKV in my current D&D campaign. Another thought would be to switch out Swordsage with Duskblade for more Ability synergy, but I really like the whole "ultimate Martial Artist who can kill you 100 different ways with his pinky," and I won't be able to channel the duskblade spells into my maneuvers anyway (Waaaaay too powerful and quite possibly broken). Finally, if I decide to still go WB/UASS route and focus my ability scores for one of my classes, such as Warblade, will that ultimately hurt my character? Please leave me your suggestions, as I'm open to any of them.
