I think I found it and it does look like you have to "refresh" your subscription every 365 days, even if it is a re-occurring monthly charge.

It was at the bottom of the Support EN World page, it shows your history with a start date and expiry date. Oh, that is not a typo, 2018 was about right as I AM very supportive.
