Other reasons:

I don't quail before a challenge.

The slinging of puns leaves me in a state of raptor.

I pun seriously, but I get a lark out of it, too.

When one of my challengers comes up with a good pun, I'm not afraid of robin it from him.

I don't discriminate between the quality of puns, to me, they're all created eagle.
