[QUOTE="LrdApoc, post: 1108094, member: 1882"] I guess i had one of those experiences.. but it was not my wife who was bothered.. it was all of us. We invited someone I met at work to play with out regular group.. i was running two games a week back then (ahh the days before children and college:) The first thing that set us all off was that he chose to play non-gender true. That in and of itself was not strange, since we all understand why someone would want to, and being a DM I do it all the time. But he developed this fantasy life and got far too in to the experience, detailing his characters traumas.. which I won't list here. I think his acting was actually fairly on but the problem was that he even wanted to attempt it. We were all adults and the games I run tend to be adult oriented but not gratuitous. This guy insisted to follow his pathos and made party interraction rough. We all tolerated him for three sessions and strangely his issue came when I made some changes to the way magic item worked and he freaked out on us. Needless to say he freaked out and six of us, we almost had to throw him out of the apartment. That was the scare of my life. I almost gave up Role-playing at that point because of this one guy. In fact that situation prompted me to make some pretty big life changes (I left for the Marine Corps two weeks later) just to reassure myself I was never going to be that guy. Some people are just creepy. And I don't have to deal with them for long. This is one of the evils of open recruiting of players:) Then there was this guy I met on some boards.. had like 2billion posts.. strange duck if I ever met one. i think his name was Crothalord or something;) Boy is that guy creepy!
