Githmets and Githdodgers
Not enough New Yorkers here . . .
The BoSox are too trendy . . . lots of bandwagon jumping as far away as Seattle, where RedSox hats are now the third most popular, after the local guys and the team Hillary Clinton claimed she always liked when she ran for Senate in NY.
So I voted Githmets, which has the nice appeal of sounding like a fantasy name (kinda Turkish), until someone realizes what it means.
The Githmets should be descendents of the Githyankis' ancient enemies, who escaped from Githyanki domination by the wily, fast-dodging ways and went through dimensional portals to escape to another plane: the Githdodgers.
There should also be rumors of another ancient race of giants who fought the Githyankis, but who all mysteriously died out/disappeared, never to be particularly remembered again.
