Here's another arena champion. I have no idea who the artist is who is responsible for the picture I am posting here to repesent Calmet, so if you know, please post so can give due credit as I have with the others. Name: Calmet “The Reaver” Ftr 6, Dod 4 Medium Size Human Hit Dice: 6d10 + 4d10 + 30 = 88 HP Initiative: +3 Speed: 30 ft. AC: 19 (+2 Secutor Armor {+3 Armor Bonus}, +2 Ring of Protection, +2 Dex); 20 w/Dodge Feat Attacks: +16/+11 Melee: (+10/+5 BAB +3 Str, +1 Weapon Focus, +1 Iron power, +1 Bloodfeeding, Cursespewing Bastard sword) {Crit: 15-20 x2} Damage: 1d10+6/1d10+6 (+3 Str, +2 Weapon Specialization, +1 Bloodfeeding, Cursespewing Bastard sword {Crit: 15-20 x2} Bloodfeeeding: Absorbs 1 blood point (BP) per hit & deals extra damage 1 HP/5 BP spent. Holds 50 BP Max. Current =23 Cursespewing: opponent must Will save (DC15) when hit or suffer curse which causes a –4 morale penalty on attacks rolls, saving throws, skill checks & ability checks) Special Attacks: Iron Hews: +3 divine bonus on damage 3/Day, Iron Power: +1 insight bonus to attack and damage rolls when using iron or steel weapons Special Qualities: Device Lore: Find Traps made mostly of metal as a rogue & +2 on disable metal device checks, Disciple of Darkness: +1 luck bonus 1/Day while performing an evil act, Rusting Grasp: As the 4th level Druid spell 1/Day Saves (modified): Fort +12, Ref +10, Will +6 Abilities: STR 16, DEX 14, CON 16, INT 12, WIS 10, CHA 14 Skills (modified): Balance +6, Bluff +8, Climb +7, Disable Device +5, Escape Artist +8, Intimidate +10, Ride +6, Search+4, Spot+6, Tumble+6 Feats: Disciple of Darkness, Dodge, Expertise, Improved Critical, Mobility, Power Attack, Spring Attack, Weapon Focus (Bastard Sword), Weapon Specialization (Bastard Sword) Alignment: Neutral Evil Possessions: +1 Bloodfeeding, Cursespewing Bastard sword, +2 Secutor Armor, +2 Ring of Protection, Helmet of Spell Resistance (DC13), Medium Spiked Chain, Masterwork Dagger Height: 6’3” Weight: 227 pounds Fame Points: 22 Non-core Sources: Book of Vile Darkness (Disciple of Dispater PrC, Disciple of Darkness Feat, and the Bloodfeeding & Cursespewing weapon special abilities) Dragon Magazine #303 (Secutor Armor) Seduced by a beautiful woman, Calmet did not really care that she turned out to be an erinyes in the service of the archdevil Dispater. Eager for the power that she promised, Calmet eagerly embraced the worship of the Iron Duke. The requirement that he sacrifice an intelligent being upon an iron altar before entering Dispater’s favor turned out to be only the first of many. Already a popular gladiator, Calmet used his influence and popularity to start a thriving underground cult that now has dozens of members, and is growing larger and stronger as his reputation grows. Calmet’s consort, the erinyes Perzelline, gifted him with a terrible weapon: A huge bastard sword named “Ironheart”. Gladiators in arenas across the Empire have come to fear this great weapon, as Calmet has gained more than just regional fame in his travels. This in fact, is part of Perzelline’s master plan to proliferate the veneration of Dispater, as she is constantly recruiting for new cult leaders on these journeys. Calmet is quite an imposing figure with his closed helmet, dark skin, spiked armor, and the fear inducing Ironheart. As if that weren’t enough to scare an opponent, he also enters the arena with the gruesome decapitated heads of his defeated grudge match victims tied to his belt. Signature Move: Calmet likes to tease and frustrate his opponents by grabbing their metal weapons or armor and turning them into rusted, worthless scraps.
