I was wanting to know if there are any reasons to choose them over other weapons of their kind. I love them for flavor reasons, but I don't know if the feat support or applications are there to make them as good as rival weapons. Falchion, High Crit is nice, and 2d4 is a bit like having a Brutal 1 on a 1d8 weapon, but I just don't know if the slight increase in power is enough to use it over a one-handed Scimitar. Are there any feats or other reasons to recommend it? Glaive: You gain Reach, but you lose the High Crit. Is this inferior to the Halberd and reaching Spears? Are there enough Heavy Blade perks to make it worth my time? Katar: Now, this one I can see some definite use in, high crit on an off-handed weapon is a nice boon, and Rogues can enjoy the Light Blade aspect. That being said, are there viable ways to dual wield them? I was playing Final Fantasy 8 last night, and Kiros looked awfully neat with them, making me want to give it a shot. I know Tempest Fighter could do it, but perhaps a TWF Ranger would be better suited with Scimitars and have them use that feat elsewhere. I know this isn't an optimization forum or anything, I just want to know if these weapons have any selling points or utilization I may of missed.
