In this week's episode, Rachel, who wants to expand her extracurricular activities, tries out for the lead in West Side Story. (They should have Tina compete with her.) Meanwhile, Idina Menzel returns as Shelby Corcoran, Rachel's birth mother and the adoptive mother of Quinn's baby. It looks like she'll try to talk some sense into Lucy Caboosy; let's hope she's successful.
The playlist:
Blaine sings "Something's Coming", originally performed in West Side Story
Rachel and Ms. Corcoran sing "Somewhere", originally performed in West Side Story
Kurt sings "I'm the Greatest Star", originally performed in Funny Girl
Boy, not much.
By the way, has anyone else seen the parody of Glee on Sesame Street, which is called "G"? A lot of the details are dead on, like Sue's jokes about Mr. Shu's hair. My only complaint is that poor Tina gets left out again (ironically, Jenna Ushkowitz was actually on Sesame Street when she was a kid), when they even had a Muppet version of the piano player. Still, it's a good reason why Sesame Street is king among children's shows.
