Glitterdust, a vampire, and gaseous form

Let's say a vampire fails his save against a glitterdust. He doesn't like to be blind, of course. If he goes gaseous, is he able to see, or does he use the same senses? If he is still blind, does he only have 5 feet normal movement when gaseous instead of 10 feet?

I believe that that he would still be blind.

I agree with Camarath. A more difficult question is what if the vampire is already in gaseous form and invisible when a glitterdust is cast in the area. Would it be revealed and would the vampire have to make a will save? Common sense would seem to say no but there is nothing in the glitterdust spell description that indicates it doesn't affect insubstantial objects.

So what would happen if you were to cast Glitterdust on an incorporeal creature? It'd be glittered too? What if that Glittered creature went into a wall and came out the other side? Slitt Glittered?

I think one can look at this through the "it's magic, silly" filter and perhaps glean some insight.

Regarding the gaseous form issue, one could imagine that glitterdust has its affect based upon life force or some such thing. In which case, all living things in its area of effect would be affected regardless of form, etc.

Remember, the glitterdust is a magical dust. Real dust wouldn't have all the effects of magical dust. It's not as simple as saying "dust doesn't affect incorporeal creatures" because it's not dust. It's magic dust.

Just a couple thoughts on the matter.

A vampire in gaseous form is not invisible - it can be seen like a normal creature.
