When prepping an encounter, I use MonsterForge for critters (I may want to advance HD or add things) and HeroForge for classed NPC's (it's a breeze, except selecting spells for casters which can be time consuming). Print out the sheets, and it's good to go. I have been inspired, partly by the Trailblazer previews from Wulf Ratbane, to start writing some stuff myself for my group. It's getting done infrequently, at work for the most part, pasting in stats from the above sources and writing the encounter details myself. It'll get printed out, scrawled on and manled at the table, as it should be. Don't like laptops at the table. D&D is a pen and paper game, not an electronic experience. Neverwinter Nights excepted, of course!</blockquote>
