A friend of mine is making an android App that allows you to track character sheets, GM notes and many other things! He put it in better words then I can so search kickstarter "tabletop rpgs meets android army", his name is Peter and its called the GM toolkit.

Take a look and if you need a tool kit for your own games give it a backing.

What things do you wish a GM app was able to do? How have you coped if you didn't have a tool for it?

Thanks Morrus! I'll have to check it out. I'm the friend making the app. Both Loconius and I are relative newcomers to EN World, so we haven't been able to post links. I was on the old EN World system, pre-hacking, and hadn't been as active in the online roleplaying community until the last few months when I decided to start working on my own site again.

As for the app, I've got a pretty solid plan for some new features (including a new one someone brought up with me via PM this morning on Facebook). The app itself has actually been on Google Play since March of last year. I'm doing the Kickstarter to get the next set of features added in to the app. I'll have to take a look at the list you referenced and see if there's any features I could make work across multiple game systems for some future updates (the Kickstarter is pretty well set as far as the features that will come of its success, but I want to keep building onto it).

Cheers!

My suggested feature is the one I always suggest to people -- one day someone will do it! Ability to integrate with EN World!

That's interesting. One of the ideas I had envisioned when I first started brainstorming the app's features was integration into a different online campaign site. We need to have a conversation offline (email, PM, whatever) about what options are available to integrate (I have a couple thoughts).

Cheers!

What else is available?

I've found spme great free apps on the play store for various systems. My question: is there any generic rpg apps where you can input your own stats and their relative numbers or databases? I know spreadsheets will work but there is a lot more work involved. Anyone know of a simple database tool or something similar I can use.
Thanks, Bruce.

Bagpuss, yep, that's my app. :-) The Kickstarter wasn't successful, but I'm still wrapping up one of the features I was going to add. There's an update going out this weekend (sneak preview screen shots on the Facebook page).

Bruce, there's a few other apps that are out there on Android, but they're all system specific (and all for Pathfinder, I believe). On Android, GM Toolkit is the only app that is system agnostic. If you're running iOS, the only one I know of is DM Toolkit and it runs $13. Mine is currently 99 cents (but I have two planned price increases over the next few months coinciding with added features).
