Gnomes were sold to WotC as a tinker-style culture with technoilogy, and ended up as a rip-off of half the races in the PHB. Then, 3.5 sticks them in as bards (wth?) and further dilutes the gnome race. WotC dropped the ball bad with gnomes, IMO.So, with 4e regulating gnomes into another book, I say: so be it! Unless I see a tinkersmith base class in the PHB alongside gnomes, I don't really care. Besides, in the mythological sense, gnomes are similar enough to dwarves that I don't really care from that angle either.cheers,--N</blockquote>
