First: 1,000th post. ;) Back in Dragon Annual 5, Monte Cook presented the first Prestige Class. I believe this because there are some tell-tale errors in terminology and set-up (They refer to "heroic" feats for example.) Nevertheless, it was a great class concept and a very unique take on an age old archtype: the gnome trickster. The class was never reprinted in any other WotC material. While servicable today, I believe some corrections and tweaks are in order. The original problem is that the class doesn't give have enough focus or keep up the characters focus. It requires spellcasting and skill use, but doesn't improve spellcasting nor give enough skill points. Compared to the Arcane Trickster, it seems lean. This version attempts to correct this shortcoming. REQUIREMENTS: Race: Gnome Skills: Bluff 7 ranks, Sleight of Hand 5 Ranks, Hide 3 Ranks Feats: Combat Expertise Spells: Able to Cast 1st level Arcane Spells of the Illusion School HD: d6 Skills: Balance, Bluff, Escape Artist, Hide, Listen, Jump, Move Silently, Perform, Search, Sense Movtive, Sleight of Hand, and Tumble Skill Points: 4 + Int
Level BAB FORT REF WILL SPECIAL SPELLS PER DAY 1 +0 +0 +2 +0 Improved Feint +1 Caster Level 2 +1 +0 +3 +0 Slippery, Illusion Expert +1 Caster Level 3 +2 +1 +3 +1 False Charm -- 4 +3 +1 +4 +1 Size Combat +1 Caster Level 5 +3 +1 +4 +1 Extend Illusion +1 Caster Level 6 +4 +2 +5 +2 Oppurtunist -- 7 +5 +2 +5 +2 Enlarge Illusion +1 Caster Level 8 +6 +2 +6 +2 Bonus Illusion +1 Caster Level 9 +6 +3 +6 +3 Quicken Illusion +1 Caster Level 10 +7 +3 +7 +3 Fade Away --

Weapon/Armor: Proficient in Simple Weapons, No armor.
Improved Feint: Gain Imp. Feint as a bonus Feat
Slippery: +2 Bonus to Escape Artist and Tumble Checks
Illusion Expert: When casting an illusion spell, the gnome trickster uses his character level as his caster level.
False Charm: +2 to Charisma Checks and Skill Checks
Size Combat: +1 Competitence bonus to hit any creature larger then Small sized.
Extend Illusion: Once per day, a Gnome trickster can cast an illusion spell he knows as if it was extended with the extend spell feat. This does not affect casting time or spell level.
Opportunist: As the Rogue Special Ability.
Enlarge Illusion: 1/day, add Enlarge Spell to an illusion spell. (as extend illusion).
Bonus Illusion: A gnome trickster gains a bonus spell slot for each spell level he can cast. This slot can only be used to cast or prepare an illusion spell.
Quicken Illusion: 1/day, add Quicken Spell to an illusion spell. (as extend illusion, yes, sorcerers can use it.)
Fade Away (SP): 1/day, a gnome trickster can cast dimension door as a sorcerer = to his gnome trickster level.
Suggestions?
