Go Play?

First Post
A while back there was some effort to create a "gamer symbol" which could be easily recognized by other gamers. The symbol decided on was:

And it was dubbed "Go Play," something about reminding people to get out there and actually play, as opposed to just sitting on the intertubes and talking about playing.

I'm not sure whether I first heard about it here on ENWorld or elsewhere, but at the very least Nifft uses the symbol in his avatar, so it clearly has some amount of traction here.

Anyways, all this is to ask whether there's an official site for the Go Play campaign/symbol/whatever you'd want to call it. I use the symbol on my blog, and I'd like to have it link to somewhere to explain what it means.

Last I looked, it was still all over RPGnet, though maybe not quite as widespread as a year or two (or three. . .?) ago.

It's a good message, of course. Amusing at first glance, I felt, seeing it tacked onto those whose post counts rival Crothian's.

But still. And also, from what I can see, Crothian (for example) plays a lot. So hey. :)

If I'm not mistaken, Future Shop uses a similar symbol for their similar "Play" gimmick (they use two right-facing arrows, and it's in red).

It could just be that I'm behind the times.

When the "GO PLAY" thing started, a few of us incorporated it in our avatars.

I think of it as more of a "geek handshake" than any other kind of a message.

It couldn't be anything more than a geek handshake, as it communications nothing to non-gamers, 'casual' gamers or gamers who aren't in the know.

I meant that IMHO it's more of a geek handshake rather than having some kind of moral message to it, like:

... because seriously, if someone like me gives you advice about posting on the Internet less, that's like taking diet advice from a really fat guy.
