I was looking forward to an extremely high quality, smith-sewn binding, glossy paged, book ribbon, lay flat version of the GOD RULES: Player's Guide...and that may be available in a subsequent Kickstarter (I have lots of books coming down the pipeline). But for now I'll settle for a Drivethru RPG Print-on-Demand version. I just took the safe route for my first Kickstarter and we will see how that goes. I'd love to just get 1000 (top quality) copies printed and have them in a Fulfillment warehouse and people can order them from my website. But unless I know I'm going to sell at least 500 books fairly quickly (to recoup the Printing Cost) its too big a gamble, plus with the tariff situation even shipping back to the fulfillment centre in the US might be ridiculous since a lot of these Print companies print in China. I appreciate the excitement. The physical miniature was always going to be a shipping (cost) nightmare as it looked like I had to post them all from Belfast. Maybe I can partner with some miniature place in the US and that will make that side of the Kickstarter more viable. Anyone know any such companies? I could get some Printed myself and ship to the UK/EU, but I know 85% of my market is the USA & Canada, so not sure how many actual minis I would sell to the UK/EU. Incidentally, I looked at Drivethru's Shipping Rates for the books and they are very reasonable in most countries. USA = $6 for Shipping (I think there is a more expensive option which I guess is 'tracked & signed' which is about $10 more). UK was $7 (about £5) and most of the EU was around $13-20...as was Canada. Mexico was $20. Australia $25 and Brazil a whopping $45. Still not sure what to do for Stretch Goals (or even if I will have any).,,Any suggestions? I have basically shown nothing so far (partly because things are still being worked on), but trust me when I say the art is EPIC and the rules are GODLY! Legends & Lore (AD&D version) inspired me back in 1988 when I got it for my birthday, I hope my GOD RULES will go on to inspire players imaginations for years to come. :giggle: I appreciate the love, basically five years and a ton of savings sunk into this and its only now about to get released. ...although I won't hold you to buying everything amigo, I have a bunch of related T-shirt designs coming soon (somewhere, still weighing my options and tweaking the details). The margins on these things seems minuscule (unless I go the Printify route which is a bit more work involved). I did notice Drivethru RPG does card sets including mini-posters. So my Immortal Character Sheet idea might be back on the table for this Kickstarter. What I wanted was a new Character Sheet design (its really cool - I won't spoil it), but as well as selling the blank sheets, I was also going to have 6 filled in (Divine Rank 1) Hero-deity Character Sheets with 6 different immortal characters, one was Cu Chulainn, I won't spoil the other 5. This was so Games Masters could do immediate one-shots or play right out of the [S]box[/S] book...even though character creation is super easy*, take a Level 20 character add 2 small/simple templates...that's it. *barely an inconvenience you might say.
