Godzilla Insurance

First Post
Um, this isn't terribly on topic, and has little to do with any actual campaigns I'm running right now, but I thought this might be an interesting question to bring up here. And someone might use it as a game idea somehow.

If Godzilla squashes my house, could I, under most existing insurance policies, make a claim?

And if I was inside it, would Life Insurance be payable at that point?

P.S.: I saw a new Godzilla movie tonight. King Gidorah rocks!

Most modern policies, especially those around the Pacific Rim, have an "Act of Godzilla" exeption rider.

well, Godzilla is considered by some to be a force of nature, so, as such, may not be covered by your policy. some policy coverages are determined by region and/or policy giver. you should check your personal coverages right away

this would probably fall under the 'unexpected death' category, wouldn't you say? :D

Y'know, I looked at my car insurance policy closely once, and it specifically mentioned that it did not cover any damage resulting from war, insurrection, or any type of nuclear incident.

Well, most insurance policies these days operate on the principle of replacing whatever was damaged or destroyed, so you would have to have a life in the first place.

I don't exactly remember why or when I read this... but there is/used to be a company that should anti-abduction insurance. "Anti-abduction" meaning aliens entering your home and absconding with you for experiments.

To maybe slightly turn this on-topic...

....you think the first fantasitic insurance company would provide Evil Necromancer Coverage? And then, would Evil Evokers be also covered, as long as they know some Necromancy? And what if it's not the Necromancer himself, but some evil sidekick (like a skeletal terrasque)? Do you need coverage agianst acts of monsters and necromancers and undead? And what if Pelor hates you? Are all acts of gods the same?

And can I buy insurance for my dragon?
