Each contestant must bring an entry fee of 250 gp's. The contest is open to all races.  You can battle with swords, words, or even magic.  King Peldore's only rule is that there are no rules while you are in the arena, but any combat outside the arena will mean your immediate death.  The winner of the tournament gets his choice of one magical item from King Peldore's treasury along with half of the entry fees.  Losing combatants give up everything they carry onto the field of battle.(Dead combatants give up even that in their rooms.)
