Couldn't agree more.

Mark was kind enough to run "Whispering Woodwind" for us (Us being Morrus, Al, and Myself) at Gen Con at about 3am and it was good enough to keep a jet-lagged sloth like myself awake and laying:)

A read-through of the adventure shows it to be just as excellent as I remember.

"Whispering Woodwind" has a lot of Meta qualities in common with Piratecat's "of Sound Mind"; that is, a lot of advice on how to actually run the adventure. That type of advice is always useful to novice DM's, but givene the calibre of DM we are talking about in both cases, I think the advice is likly to be useful to all.

I'm printing it from PDF as we speak:) and I don't usually bother doing that with PDF's:)

much agreed. excellent stuff mark. i am running it this saturday for a group that has never played together before, and 2 of the 5 have never played outside of 1 random combat to get them unafraid of terms and dice. fully fleshed, detailed, scalable and fun.

Well, the start of it anyway. We were all too busy falling asleep to actually follow what was going on.

What was it again? King Jordan of Septomania? That was funny! "Guard - put your pants on your head!"

It's a very good adventure; I think I'll be using it.

Your flight couldn't have been too bad--Atlantic Ocean jet lag is nothing compared to Pacific Ocean jet lag. Try flying 15 hours ahead of your current schedule! Luckily, I only do that every 3 years or so.

I got to help playtest that module, and it makes an excellent entry-level module for new DMs, especially those who would like to try a more roleplay intensive style of play. I only know a couple of people who are as thorough when it comes to presenting NPCs, and they are all an asset to their respective play groups.

And don't forget all his freebies!

Oh, that was a full week after the flight. The tiredness was due to long (but enjoyable) touristy days and lots of very late nights. Plus, it was about 4am!

Strangely, when I went to Japan (not sure how many hours difference offhand, but considerably more than the Atlantic crossing!), the jet lag didn't affect me at all (in either direction).
