Thanks for the kind word, guys. Just a bit of a correction, Doc. We've moved to the SOUTH side of the tracks and Northwest Highway.;)

GAMES PLUS! WOOHOO!

I love this store--I buy something EVERY time I am in there without fail (though sometimes it's only one or two dice...). The owners are great guys, there are miniatures everywhere, and they have a huge game room. It's the home of the EN Chicago Gameday 1 and hopefully a 2nd one as well!

As far as I know of, it's the best gaming store in the Chicago-land area, and even though it's 30-40 minutes away from my home sweet home, it's the closest gaming shop there is.

They have a pretty good auction coming up too--check out the site for more details

Okay...

Games Plus is a larger facility. I used to head down that way way back when to visit a shop run by Lou Quigley, rest his soul.

But Dennis is a great guy, so anyone in the neighborhood should drop by Game Guild and check it out.

Obviously it's unnecessary, but I'll add another HUGE approval for Games Plus. I live in the Loop and make the drive out to GP once every other month or so to stock up on new releases. They have a "buy $X worth of stuff over Y months and get a $Z credit" system - I don't remember the exact numbers, but I know I got $10 off my last $60 purchase as a result.

I suspect other gaming stores also do this, but I love the fact that GP hangs its minis in numerical order. That way I can check online catalogs ahead of time and figure out what I want, and I don't have to spend an hour looking at every card back on the wall.

Hey!

What am I doing hanging out here with all you Flatlanders, Ruin my rep' here in God's country with the Cheeseheads

See you this summer when the exodus to Wisconsin is in full swing, eh?
