Good, general purpose, campaign software?

Are there any good, general purpose, campaign tracking/organizational utilities out there? I am not looking for something designed only for use with a specific game (e.g., D&D 3.5) but, rather, something that can be modified for use with many games or game systems. Ideally, I'd like something similar with a built-in dice roller, a customizable character database, a campaign calender, and some random encounter/treasure/town/etc generators. Now, I know that I can scavenge these individual elements from around the Internet, but is there any software that packages all of these elements together?

How can you have a random and generic generator? Is that even possible?

How can you have a random and generic generator?

Simple. Elements of the generator are randomly determined and not tied to any specific game system. It's not like things such as bandits, 10' x 10' rooms, or towns are unique to a single game system.

Is that even possible?

Yes. It's not only possible, it's been done more than a few times. Frex, here is a site full of random, non-system specific, generators for pretty much everything one could conceive of. Here are several more random, non-system specific, generators. Here is a random, generic, fantasy adventure generator. Google reveals several dozen more such sites and utilities.

No generators in it, but I recommend Zulupad if you want to make a campaign wiki. It's like notepad gone wiki, and has replaced MyInfo for me in terms of campaign, setting and adventure design.

Just highlight a word you want to make a wiki hyperlink, click the "link" icon, and it makes a new page for you with that name. Pro version lets you include graphics like maps.

Closest ones I've seen (and they're tied to 4e, mostly) are:

DnD4eCM - RPGnetWiki - This is mostly just an encounter/combat tracker, but it's quite well built for 4e use. If I ever get around to using my laptop, this would be useful.

Masterplan - This is a pretty solid campaign tracker for 4e, but it does take work getting it built up for easy use.

Otherwise, I'm not really much help on this one. I haven't seen any tool that combines generators with other software..

I think what you could be looking for is The Keep.

There is a free demo that includes most of its features. I haven't tried it myself, but its on my list of things to do. Personally I use One Note for all my GM organizing needs.

Features include ...

* Organize your campaign information into intuitive folders
* Track notes, maps, images, character sheets, handouts, and PDFs
* Integrated word processor with spell checker
* Fractal Mapper integration
* Built-in Dice Roller
* Inspiration Pad Pro integration for random names and encounters
* Print a single document from your notes, maps, images, and character sheets
* Game-system independent
* Can be run from a USB Flash Drive, or other portable drive

Well that shows me for not believing in the power of the internet! Well here is a decent site for making character pics and doesn't WOTC have an official character generator?
