Good News for Green Ronin Fans

First Post
Since no one from Green Ronin has been by to mention it, allow me to start a thread on Chris Pramas's New Year's message on their website (www.greenronin.com). Two things caught my eye especially. First, new Freeport adventures! One is a mega-adventure to boot. Sweet. Second, of the six Mutants & Masterminds books for 2003, one is a license. Any bets on what that is? I think Astro City would be perfect for GR, but I seem to recall hearing that Busiek didn't want to license it.

Any comments, Mr. Pramas?

Man, I take one day off from cruising message boards and I get scooped. :)

I can't really say much about the M&M license right now, but I will say it's nothing as sweeping as Marvel/DC. It is very cool though, and I hope to have a formal announcement ready by GAMA Trade Show in March.

Well, in the spirit of the Babylon 5 thread ....errr....I mean the Mongoose thread, I will start the whittling.

Hopefully, if it aint marvel and it aint DC it might be Image :D I would really love to see some of the early StormWatch stuff (before it was trashed by a new writer) but Wetworks was my favorite (again before it was trashed by a new writer).

By popular vote it would need to be Gen13 or WildCATS.

I'm more excited about seeing the new Avatar book GR is putting out soon.

It will be interesting to see Avatar as a core class, and how they'll tie that in to the traditional role of an avatar being the mortal manifestation of a deity. Personally, from reading the description, I think it sounds more like it should be called Proxy or Angel, but thats a minor change to make. And it has new celestials to boot! I'm guestting that its the 3E version of Warriors of Heaven.

Avatar bit

A long time ago, Mayfair owned the City State of the Invincible Warlord and it offered alternative classes, magic items, and other goodies. One of the classes was the Avantari, basically avatar, and each one was tied into the gods in different ways. They were holy warrior for each god, not just the good ones ala Book of the Righteous. Pretty interesting stuff overall. Be good to see how the new book compares.

City of Heroes, the HOME GAME version? :) *Shot from the dark*

From the message:
"Second, a sourcebook that every D&D/d20 player will want to own, penned by one of the biggest names in the D&D pantheon."

Hmm...

St. Cuthbert?
Boccob?
Vecna? :D

Just wondering
