Good PC Races Gone Bad: Dwarves

First Post
So after building a Halfling Necromancer as part of the D&D Next play test, I started thinking about evil Halflings in general, and how they might behave. This somehow turned into a decision to write a series of blog posts on 1) how normally 'good' PC races might end up as villains, and 2) how the culture and biology of these races might effect the sort of villains they turn into.

I thought this might be helpful or interesting for DMs looking for some ideas for antagonists that aren't world-dominating Wizards or evil humanoids, or players who are playing in 'evil party' games.

I decided to start with evil Dwarves, for some reason, and I'm planning to cover Gnomes in a post next week or so, moving on to Elves, Halflings, and probably Half-Elves after that.

Halflings of Warhammer, running joke is Mootafia (mafia) controlling the breadbasket of the empire and having spys in every kitchen.

Had Gnomes once as a steam-age empire that was out to control the world, using their air ships and air guns. The were enslaving other races for their coal mines and elemental mines. Their boots on ground were Hobgoblins.
