Message: <blockquote data-quote="Arkhandus" data-source="post: 3512731" data-attributes="member: 13966">A Figurine of Wondrous Power - Bronze Griffon would be more useful than the Stone Horse, I think.  No need to make the transmuter cast fly on the knight before he engages a wyvern or such in battle - he just activates his bronze griffon and hops on, while the transmuter takes care of getting the dwarf airborne and moves on to more important spells the next round.  And the bronze griffon can be carried around and used in an underground cavern or a large open room or the like, when needed, since it only animates and grows into a steed briefly.The dwarf may appreciate Boots of Speed, instead of that Ancestral Axe.  I dunno what's special about the axe, but I assume the dwarf and knight at least have magical weapons already.  A Phylactery of Undead Turning may be useful for him, but I dunno what the undead situation is in your campaign (if any).Or perhaps even a Clay Golem Manual?  It's 12k, and the dwarf should be able to sculpt and animate a Clay Golem with such an item, though he'd need to acquire the raw materials himself (and make the requisite Craft checks; though as a dwarf, and with the Manual's +5 to that effort, it should not be hard unless the dwarf has no such Craft ranks and can't afford to get enough ranks next level).  Actually, it should be fairly cheap for him to acquire the raw materials and whatnot; according to the SRD at least, it's a 1,000-pound block of clay, treated with rare oils worth 1,500 GP, and the Craft check needed is just a Craft (sculpture) or Craft (pottery) DC 15.  He should only need a few ranks to be successful at the check with the use of the Manual and his dwarven workmanship.</blockquote>
